For the last two blog discussions before your paper is due on Tuesday, August 25, I would like you to discuss the concept of “truth”. What is truth? Does truth exist? Is truth relative (i.e., truth is not the same for everybody)? Or is truth absolute (i.e., truth exists outside of a person’s belief, opinion, or preference)?
For this post, please list one argument – your best possible argument – as to why truth is relative. Remember, this isn’t about what you believe. Its about what you can argue for. Give this your best effort. Try to convince your classmates and me that truth is not the same for everybody.
For the second part, read someone else’s argument and disagree on purpose. Even if you agree with what they have said, purposely find the areas that their argument falls short, hit “reply” right under their name and your comment will show up as a direct response. Remember, it is more helpful to disagree than to agree.
