Expectations

Objectives

At the end of this class you will be better able to answer the four worldview questions:

  1. Where did I come from?
  2. Why am I here?
  3. What happens when I die?
  4. How now shall I live?

Each of these questions is tied to your humanity.  As we study the world around us, you will formulate your answer to each question.

Expectations

You are expected:

  1. To come to class on time, with a proper uniform, with your homework completed.
  2. To have an open and critical mind.
  3. To show the utmost respect to your fellow student, the teacher, yourself, and most importantly, the Word of God.

Class Website

Mr. Brammer maintains a class website at the following web address: http://www.mrbrammer.com/. You will occasionally be required to do assignments on the website. If you do not have internet access at home you will need to make arrangements to do the assignment while at school during a lunch break.  If you have any issues, work them out with Mr. Brammer prior to the due date of the assignment.

Turning in Assignments / Stamping Assignments

To receive credit for an on time assignment, it needs to be stamped with a date stamp.  The date stamp is at the front of the classroom on the desk.  It is your responsibility to stamp your assignment when you come to class, before the bell rings. Late assignments will not be accepted.

If the assignment is corrected and the score recorded in the grade book during class, then it is not necessary to turn in the assignment (unless Mr. Brammer asks for it specifically).  Otherwise, all homework assignments are to be turned in at the box on the desk in the front of the classroom; either as collected or at the end of the class period.

Test Retakes / Paper Rewrites

If you received a failing grade on either a test or a paper, you may retake the test or rewrite the paper for a maximum score of 70%.  Please retrieve, fill out, and turn in the Test Retake / Paper Rewrite form.

Restroom Breaks

Students are not allowed to use the restroom during the period unless it is a dire emergency.  Very few exceptions will be made.  Use the time between classes for your personal needs.

Materials

Students are to bring all the required materials to class every single day.  Just for further clarification that means AT LEAST the following supplies should be in the student’s possession as they enter the class each day:

  1. Pen & Pencil
  2. Notebook / Notepad
  3. Content Textbook
  4. Bible (Considered a textbook for all Humanities Classes)
