The purpose of the sports competitions are to allow individuals and teams to demonstrate their abilities to the entire school. With that said, it is also meant to bring students together as a larger SPH team. Hopefully, you will both submit your best players and come out and cheer everyone on during the competitions.
Rules:
- Each House may submit two teams of two players. You are not required to submit a team.
- Each round’s competition will be chosen by using a pool.
- If a House’s team advances to further rounds, they may choose to keep their players or replace them with other members of the House.
- Games will be played at lunchtimes on the assigned days.
- Games will be refereed by student referees. See below.
- Games begin within 10 minutes of the lunch bell, if a team does not show up in time according to the referees that team forfeits.
- Games are played to 21 points or the high score within five minutes of the end of lunch.
- Tie games will be determined using rock | paper | scissors.
Winners:
- 20 points for Championship
- 10 points for 2nd
- 5 points for tied 3rds
- Each House gains one point for every person that participates.
- Each House gains three points for every referee they submit.
Referees:
- Each House may submit up to two referees to be trained by Pak Kris & Pak Lasut.
- If a House chooses not to submit referees, another House may submit more than two – with preference going to the House with the least number of points.
- In general, the referees decision is final and should be accepted. If there is a grievance, it should be brought to the House Coordinator who will decide what will happen next. Students should be able to govern themselves without the need for adult interference.
